Upcoming opportunities can always be found on our website here. If you are interested in volunteering for these and other LFA, WI Chapter events, please fill out our volunteer application here. If you select the "health fairs" box, you can attend an upcoming training session to learn what you need to know to join our wonderful outreach team! |
We're off to a great start in 2026! The Outreach Team met at O'Donoghue's Irish Pub last week to kick of a new season of connections. The biggest news is that GSK has awarded LFAWI a grant through their Linked by Lupus program to undertake a Reservation Clinic Outreach Tour in 2026! This tour, which will likely be divided into several legs, will send Outreach Ambassadors to Native Reservation clinics throughout the state of Wisconsin. Many of these communities are in rural, underserved areas, and are unaware of the resources and support available though the Chapter. Through presentations, panels, and information tables, we can connect these communities with caring support. The Lupus Foundation of America's National Advocacy Days, April 19-21 in Washington, DC provide constituents with the opportunity to advocate directly with their representatives. For more information about this initiative, click here. We also have a few opportunities to staff tables at upcoming events. Please let Dana know if you are interested and able to volunteer: January 30, 2026: Techquity United Way event. 9a-4p, 225 W Vine St, Milwaukee April 18, 2026: Eastbrook Academy Health & Wellness Fair. 9-noon, 5375 N Green Bay Ave, Milwaukee May 21, 2026 (tentative): Center for Leadership of Afrikan Women's Wellness (CLAW). Time & location TBD Quarterly: Progressive Health resource table. Noon-3pm, 3522 W Lisbon Ave, Milwaukee |
