Providing Answers, Support and Hope in the Northeast
“Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not.”
Those words, penned by Dr. Seuss in “The Lorax” fifty years ago are truer than ever today. We are very fortunate to have an amazing lupus community who care “a whole awful lot” in so many ways. We have Advocates, Ambassadors, Committee Members, Team Captains, Walkers, Social Media sharers, Corporate Sponsors, Community Partners and a dedicated community of healthcare professionals all working to improve the quality of life for people living with lupus and their loved ones.
Heading into the Thanksgiving season seems like an opportune time to say thank you for all that you do in support of the mission of the Lupus Foundation of America. When someone calls us for the first time, many times close to the time of diagnosis, while sharing our many resources we always mention that they are joining an amazing community of support. We are humbled to witness so many acts of kindness, empathy and compassion. Strangers become friends and friends become a family all while continuing to increase awareness about lupus and raise the money needed to move our mission goals forward.
As we go around the virtual table this year to express what we are thankful for, please know that we are ever so grateful for you and all you do.
With our gratitude,
Your Northeast team
