Happy Fathers Day
Happy Fathers Day to all of the fathers in our Northeast Region! Here are a few stories from our lupus warriors...
"I was in Europe then for my graduate studies. Unfortunately, I got sick while doing my thesis. My father flew all the way from Manila, Philipines just to take care of me while I went chemotherapy. I will never forget everything he did for me just to make sure I'll recover from my illness. Sadly, he passed away from Covid last year." -Erika Valdueza (Rolando Valdueza)

"My fiance has never dated anyone seriously until he met me. He's never dated anyone with kids or anyone with an illness. From day one, he's been committed to learning about my illness and being an awesome step da to my daughter! I couldn't have asked for a better partner." - Inmarie (Greg)

"James is a great father. He took care of my son when I couldn't. He would wake up early in the morning to feed him since mornings were and still are hard on me. He took him on a father son trip to DC to see the African-American Museum (and only bought me back a t-shirt) lol. I think he has a lot to do with my mom having so much empathy for sick people. HE watches his father protect me, most times from myself. My husband is an amazing father and I'm extremely proud to be his wife." -Tanya Bonner
