The Living Well with Lupus Symposium brings together the lupus community in the Greater Philadelphia area for a day of education.
Now in its 19th year, this year's symposium kicks off with a panel entitled 'Lupus: Mind, Body, Spirit.' A panel of experts in rheumatology, psychology, and fitness will address ways to help you face lupus holistically that allows you to live your best life.
Morning and afternoon breakouts will be led by local professionals like Dr. Roberto Caricchio of Temple Medicine, Thomas Giordano of Pond Lehocky Stern Giordano, and more.

A support group is a self-help group, composed of people with lupus along with their family members and friends who gather periodically to share common concerns. People are willing to talk freely and to trust openly in the good will of the other group members.
The Systemic Erythematosus Self Help ( SLESH) Course is a free course geared towards those living with lupus along with their family members and friends. This 5-week course has been proven to assist those living with lupus to take a more active role in their health care.
Ask the Experts is a series of monthly educational teleconferences designed to provide you with important information about living with lupus and better managing your symptoms. Live teleconferences last one hour and are accessible through a toll-free phone number.
One of the ways that the Lupus Foundation of America, Philadelphia Tri-State Chapter accomplishes its mission to aid in the fight against lupus is by providing people living with lupus and their families with education and support though a list of services.
