Let’s Talk About It: Grieving Your Diagnosis
Being diagnosed with lupus can sometimes feel like a loss of the life we have or had envisioned for ourselves and loved ones. Loss defines us in one way or another and while painful, it can also be a time of growth and learning. Join us for an empowering discussion on how to navigate your way through grieving your lupus diagnosis and transitioning to a place of joy and hope.
Meet the Speaker:
Holly Gainsboro is a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist ®, Grief Educator, Mindfulness Practitioner, and Reiki Master. Following the death of her late husband in December, 2010, Holly felt a pull to be present for others through their own experiences with loss. She guides those who have suffered losses and helps them navigate their way through grief, transitioning them to a place of joy and hope.

Those losses may include, but are not limited to; death of a loved one; an illness diagnosis for the patient and caregiver: divorce; relationship breakup; job layoff/change in employment status; financial instability; fertility issues; abuse and neglect. Loss defines us in one way or another. Losses, while painful, also elicit growth and learning. One can and will evolve from the journey through grief and loss as Holly uses a whole-hearted and holistic approach through various models including, but not limited to the Grief Recovery Method ®. In addition to working one on one with clients and outreach groups, Holly educates through public speaking engagements. Corporations, Houses of Worship, Schools, Hospitals, Hospice, Medical Universities, Support Groups and Assisted Living Centers are just a few of those who benefit from her workshops. Those in attendance walk away feeling enlightened and better equipped to not only assist others but themselves.
