Michael Jon Barlin Scholarship

The Lupus Foundation of America, Southeast Region is privileged to offer an annual $5,000 scholarship to support the educational expenses of a Florida resident diagnosed with lupus and currently attending college.

 

The Lupus Chick/Ivy Shapiro College Stipend Award

Applications for the $500 Ivy Shapiro College Stipend Award are open until October 1, 2020. You must be currently attending a technical program, community college, university, or certification program for the Fall 2020 semester to be eligible. Learn more about how to apply here.

These scholarships are open to anyone entering or in college who has a parent with a disability or medical condition.

Lupus Inspiration Foundation

The Lupus Inspiration Foundation for Excellence (L.I.F.E) was founded in 2001, with the goal of providing merit based assistance to deserving college and graduate school students who despite having been diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE or Lupus) are continuing their education despite the hardships brought on by their disease. The L.I.F.E. Scholarship will be awarded to one or more students each year in August. Award recipients will receive a minimum award of $500.00 made payable to the educational institution at which they are enrolled for tuition, fees, and other educational-related expenses.

Patient Advocate Foundation (PAF) Scholarship for Survivors

During PAF's daily interactions with patients, PAF staff often interfaces with patients who either are or have a loved one who has or is having an experience with the impact of a chronic illness or life threatening disease on one's post secondary education.
