This is my chapter   |

With the move to a regional model (please see information from our board below), we are going to postpone the Atlanta Walk until the fall. For those who have already registered and started fundraising, you will receive a welcome message from Amy Yalden, VP and Regional Director, Southeast Region on our about April 1st.

From our board of directors:

In recent months, leaders from the Georgia Chapter Board & the National Board of Directors have partnered to discuss the future of our Georgia Chapter. After several meetings the decision was made to approve the transition to a Region with the National Lupus Foundation of America effective April 1st.

We believe that combining our expertise and resources, it will allow us to better serve the interests and challenges faced by those affected by lupus.

You can expect the same great local resources, programs, and services that we currently offer but now with additional opportunities to collectively move our mission forward, including the local Walk to End Lupus Now events, patient education programs and our local support groups.

As part of the National organization, staff and volunteers will remain focused on what matters most: how to effectively meet the needs of the people we serve. Together, our impact will be bigger, better, and stronger as we work as a united front to solve the cruel mystery of lupus and end its devastating impact on millions of lives.

We will share additional details in the coming months. As always, we appreciate your support and look forward to continuing to work together as we evolve so we can best meet the needs of people with lupus.
