The Lupus Foundation of America is pleased to offer Lupus Education for Nurses, an on-demand, CNE-accredited webinar. The course is focused on increasing nurses’ knowledge and understanding of lupus to improve early diagnosis and patient care. Topics include:
- Overview of lupus
- Diagnostic tools for lupus
- Available treatment modalities
- How to support lupus patients throughout the care continuum
- Coping strategies to address a lupus patient’s mental health
Nurses are vital members of the health care team for people with lupus, playing a key role in early diagnosis and effective disease management.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) designates this activity for 1.0 nursing contact hours.
Instructions for Obtaining Continuing Education (CE)
To receive continuing education (CE) for WD4927 - Lupus Education for Nurses, please visit CDC TRAIN and search for the course in the Course Catalog using WD4927. Follow the steps below by August 15, 2027:
- Register for and complete the course.
- Pass the post-assessment at 75%.
- Complete the evaluation.
- Visit Your Learning to access your certificates and transcript.
FEES: No fees are charged for CDC’s CE activities.
