Research Community Calls for Updates to EULAR Recommendations for Lupus Management
Researchers conducted a literature review of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) studies and are calling for an update of the European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR) recommendations for the management of lupus. EULAR represents people with arthritis/rheumatism, health professionals and scientific societies of rheumatology of all the European nations. The group updated consensus guidance originally published in 2008 with 13 final recommendations grouped in four broad categories: goals of treatment, treatment of SLE, specific manifestations and comorbidities. The updated recommendations provide physicians and people with lupus with updated guidance on the management of SLE, combining evidence-based and expert-opinion.
