Volunteer in Indiana
Our LFA, Indiana Chapter volunteers are passionate and motivated. Whether serving on an event committee, on the board of directors, helping on day of events, or assisting in the office, they are irreplaceable. And WE are grateful.
Our Chapter continues to seek dedicated volunteers throughout Indiana interested in becoming Lupus Support Group Facilitators. The ideal volunteer candidates should have some social services or healthcare background, but this is not a requirement. A passion to serve and modest time commitment is necessary. Interested candidates will be asked to complete a LFA, Indiana Chapter volunteer application, complete a telephone interview, and attend a Facilitator Training workshop. We have educational and fundraising events throughout the year, including the Lace Up for Lupus Gala in May, the Indianapolis Walk to End Lupus Now in October, and the In the Loop - Healthy Living with Lupus educational symposium. These events are successful because of the help of the volunteers who serve on the planning committees. Event planning experience is helpful but not required. Our Chapter participates in more than a dozen health and community fairs each year across our state, with the help of volunteers like you. We'll arm you with knowledge and resources and you help us spread lupus awareness with attendees. If you are interested, please contact Brian Rothenberger.
Our Chapter is small, but mighty. We depend on office volunteers to help us prepare for events, send out informational and event-related materials, and maintain our equilibrium. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 9 to 5 and we are located at 96th and Meridian on the Indianapolis north side. Our LFA-IN Chapter is seeking qualified candidates to serve on our Board of Directors. Our continued success depends on the personal commitment and active involvement of a select group of elected individuals who embrace the privilege to serve and the responsibility to lead. Board members are expected to be zealous advocates on our behalf, enthusiastic communicators of our mission and vision, aspire to the growth of our organization, and play an integral role in our leadership development and fundraising activities.

Our Chapter offers free monthly Facebook Live mindful meditation and gentle yoga classes and is looking for passionate licensed/certified yoga and tai chi instructors who are interested in helping us expand our current program. Please contact Brian Rothenberger.
Our Chapter has several events throughout the year that require photography and/or videography. If this is your skill set and you are interested in helping us capture event memories and help spread awareness, please contact Brian Rothenberger.
Each year our Chapter hosts several events including Lace Up for Lupus Gala, Faces of Lupus Fashion Show, Walk to End Lupus Now, and the In the Loop educational symposium. Join us to help at registration, sell LFA merchandise, assist with set up and clean up, etc. This is a great way to help the Chapter and have a great time doing it.
