Kylee C. - Diagnosed at age 15

I was diagnosed with lupus at the age of 15. I'm 17 now, trying to live with an illness I have no clue about was hard. Not going outside, always feeling tired, not being able to be a regular teen was hard. I was in denial for a while, saying why did I get chosen to have it? Why me? And then I tell myself I have lupus, but let it change my story, and my heart will always be the same. Taking meds on top of meds was so hard; I still have trouble accepting taking meds. One thing I tell myself every day is: you have lupus, but don't let it define you or your story.
