Kellye S. - Diagnosed Age 15

My name is Kellye S. I have had lupus since I was 15 years old. Living with lupus at a young age was definitely not easy – from going to doctors regularly, to being hospitalized many times and taking over 20 pills daily. And, most importantly, not being recognized by your peers at school with the weight fluctuations. Pain was something I had to learn how to cope with. At times it was so unbearable, it would bring tears to my eyes. Dealing with needles poking you, restless nights, and sleeping at the kitchen table from chest pain. It was so much for me but I managed.

Lupus isn’t the only thing I have suffered from over the years. As I've made it by the grace of god with my testimony, I have kidney disease, suffer fibromyalgia, vertigo, Raynaud’s, and degenerative disc disease.

The year 2019 wasn't a good year for me, after going to the Emergency room and finding out I had a heart attack due to an artery blockage which resulted to getting five stents.
