Social Support in the Hospital Improves Outcomes for People with Lupus
A new study from China confirms social support is important when living with lupus. Researchers studied hospitalized patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Those people with social support experienced moderate uncertainty about their illness and were able to better cope with the disease. Subsequently, they were also more likely to follow their treatment and had improved quality of life.
