Dr. Yazdany is Chief of the Division of Rheumatology at San Francisco General Hospital (SFGH) and the Alice Betts Endowed Professor of Medicine at UCSF. As a rheumatologist specializing in systemic lupus, she practices at SFGH and co-directs the UCSF Health Lupus Clinic. Dr. Yazdany’s scholarship, funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), focuses on improving health care quality, safety and outcomes for individuals with chronic rheumatic diseases, including lupus. She serves as the research lead for the American College of Rheumatology’s (ACR’s) RISE registry and Co-Chairs the CDC and ACR Collaborative project to develop new quality measures for lupus for use in the U.S. healthcare system.
