IMPACT for lupus literature review

To inform the development of interventions that will promote lupus clinical trial participation among racial/ethnic minorities, it is crucial to first understand best practices and promising strategies of past clinical trial education and recruitment initiatives. This literature review, conducted by the LFA in Fall 2016, constituted the first phase of IMPACT for Lupus. Promising components of past initiatives and studies were assessed and further evaluated by the IMPACT for Lupus team for feasibility and receptivity among African Americans with lupus. Insights gained from these results informed the development of the IMPACT for the Lupus Model. We have categorized the literature review results below by shared key themes that emerged across studies.
