As a person with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE), myositis, and chronic pain conditions, I'm reduced to living my life in a bubble. Once an active, vibrant, and in charge project manager, I saw myself cripple to a woman that can barely remember things, that can't find anything to relieve the constant pain, body stress, and foot pain. These symptoms prevent me from standing, walking, sleeping, and laying down for periods at a time. I spend nights in a recliner because that's the only place I can sleep for four hours.

We need a cure. More research and focus should be given to our groups. Please take the time to pass our funding bills and give to lupus research. I have been fighting for five years and have never been in remission, and now I can't work and can barely drive.
