Lauren Y. - Diagnosed Age 12

As a teenager I was diagnosed with lupus, and struggled with the balance of social life and self-care. It was an invisible leash preventing me from participating with people my age and being a normal social being.

I recently installed my thesis art show for my Masters of Fine Arts, to which my art show is focused on these feelings and issues as a person with multiple autoimmune diseases. I would like to share my experience and educate the public on such experiences, while offering an understanding to those who go through such troubles. This show is at Massachusetts College of Art and Design in Boston, and the show runs until August 9th.
