Joanna N. - Diagnosed Age 32

My mom lived with lupus for 33 years until she passed away on September 4, 2013. She owned her own business, had a women’s walking group, was our classroom mom in elementary school, and went on every field trip. She really was a true warrior. She is my trailblazer.

My aunt has been living with lupus for over 30 years and I was just diagnosed in February. I am so grateful for the opportunity of being a lupus ambassador for Oregon. I am learning to navigate my own lupus journey. It has thrown me a curveball but I am learning to hit the home run.
