Britty M. - Diagnosed at age 14

Hi everyone I have shared my story before on my lupus nephritis and renal disease… so please bear with me. In December I recently moved to Cape Town. My health has improved drastically since 8 years ago when I was diagnosed. My skin has colour, my weight stays the same, my hair isn’t falling out and I’m off prednisone. 

On this day 1st July 2024 I went to my normal doctor's appointment (rheumatologist appointment) and my doctor said, “ Britty I can’t believe this but you’re in remission.” I broke down crying because I would never ever imagine hearing that. Firstly I wouldn’t have gotten anything/ anywhere without my MOM. She was my strength when I was weak which was most of my life. My mother did what she had to do and she did it with pride and dignity.

Today because of her I am in lupus remission. Thank you mommy and Jesus.
