Ian Harding: Why I Support the Lupus Foundation of America
My mom was diagnosed with lupus when I was 7. And while I’ve always known about lupus, I understand it now as an adult. I also now recognize all that my mom has done to support me as she continues to fight through her illness.
I have been working with the Lupus Foundation of America for the last two years to raise awareness of lupus and funds for research and education programs. The advocacy work I do is in honor of my mom. It’s just one way for me to say “Thanks mom!”
Whether for Mother’s Day or another celebration, I invite you to honor your mom while supporting the Foundation's programs and services. Make a donation in your mom’s name to the Lupus Foundation of America.
You can make a one-time tax deductible gift or celebrate your mother year round by selecting our monthly gift option!
By making a donation in honor or tribute to your mother, you will help the Lupus Foundation of America advance its mission to improve the quality of life of all people affected by lupus.
I hope that all those with lupus keep on fighting. I know it’s a daily struggle. It’s terrible. But I know together we can solve the cruel mystery!
