Lupus & You: Protecting Your Kidneys

Kidney health is a critical part of managing lupus, yet many people with lupus aren’t aware of the risks until it’s too late. Lupus nephritis can cause serious and sometimes permanent kidney damage if not caught and treated early. In this webinar, we’ll break down what you need to know to protect your kidneys including the importance of early detection, what labs to watch, treatment options and next steps if dialysis or a transplant is needed. We’ll also discuss the emotional impact of managing kidney complications and how to stay mentally strong throughout your journey.

We are excited to introduce a series of in-person Lupus & You events hosted by our regional offices and local chapters. These events will educate and engage lupus warriors, care partners, families and friends. During half-day sessions you will get the latest information on living and coping with lupus from noted experts. Best of all, these events will provide the opportunity to meet other people dealing with the challenges of lupus and make meaningful connections with your local lupus community.
