Gina M. Finzi Student Fellowship
The Gina M. Finzi Memorial Student Summer Fellowship Program was developed to cultivate an interest in lupus research among young scientists. The program requires that the research be supervised and sponsored under the mentorship of an established lupus investigator. This mentorship is a critical part of establishing the next generation of lupus researchers.

History
This student fellowship is a memorial tribute to Gina M. Finzi, the late daughter of former Lupus Foundation of America President Sergio Finzi, Ph.D. Since 1984, the fellowship has supported the work of nearly 250 young investigators. Fellows in this program have produced numerous publications in respected peer-reviewed journals, such as Journal of Immunology, Arthritis & Rheumatism, Lupus, Stroke, and European Journal of Immunology. In addition, many of today’s preeminent lupus scientists, who are leading multi-center clinical trials in lupus or leading lupus centers of excellence, started as Finzi student fellows.
