Find Support Near You
Living with lupus can feel isolating, but you’re not alone. The Lupus Foundation of America's support groups are designed to help you connect with others in the lupus community and find understanding, encouragement, and support.
More Ways to Connect, More Ways to Be Supported
To better meet the needs of the lupus community, many of our groups are now offered in virtual, hybrid, and in-person formats, making it easier than ever to find support that fits your life.
Because of this expanded model, you are welcome to attend more than one support group - whether you want to join from home, connect locally, or do both. There’s no need to limit yourself to just one option.
Our goal is to increase access, connection, and flexibility so that everyone impacted by lupus - individuals, caregivers, and loved ones - has more ways than ever to find meaningful support, wherever they are.
All Are Welcome
Anyone affected by lupus may join a National Specialty Support Group. Individuals may attend one or multiple groups based on interest or need - there is no requirement to “fit” a category to participate.
Who Should Join:
- Individuals living with lupus
- Caregivers, parents, family members, partners, and loved ones
- People newly diagnosed or living long-term with lupus
- Youth and adults seeking understanding and peer support
What to Expect:
- A peer-led, supportive, and respectful environment
- Opportunities to share experiences and learn from others
- Connection with others who share similar lived experiences
- Access to lupus education, resources, and community
How to Get Started:
Browse the following lists of the Lupus Foundation of America's National Specialty Support Groups and Statewide Support Groups to find options that meet your interests and needs.
National Specialty Support Groups
National Specialty Support Groups are held virtually via Zoom, creating access for participants nationwide. Explore the following categories of groups, and then register for the group (or groups) that feel like the best fit for you.
All groups require registration using the specific group's registration link. Completing the registration notifies the facilitator and helps them prepare to welcome you.
If you have additional questions about a group, please use the group’s listed email address to contact the facilitator directly.
