In 2003 I was diagnosed with lupus. I was 21 years old and expecting my 2nd child. He was born with neonatal lupus congenital complete heart block. My symptoms were fatigue, tired not much energy. I was always having joint and muscle pain.
Living with lupus over the years I've developed other medical conditions. Living with lupus has also affected my mental health. Lupus has also prevented me from doing a lot of things. But music gave me hope, mentally, spiritually and emotionally. Just being creative with music and writing gave me a sense of purpose. In spite of living with lupus and going through this journey and trying to heal I've managed to write my book. I am an author, singer and songwriter and artist of My book and album "The Music In Me."
What really gives me hope is living a life with purpose, uplifting, inspiring, encouraging and helping others. And giving others hope as well. As of today lupus still affects my life in so many ways, but I will keep pushing, and not give up.
