A new investigational therapy, GLPG3667, for adults with active lupus is beginning Phase 2 study to examine the safety, tolerability and efficacy of the treatment. The therapy is a tyrosine kinase 2 or TYK2 enzyme inhibitor, which prevents inflammation. TYK2 is a critical driver of disease in lupus.
The GALACELA trial will enroll approximately 140 adults with lupus who will receive the treatment orally once per day or placebo for 32 weeks.
