It took about 14 months to diagnose my type of lupus. I been living with lupus for a few years now, so I know what many of you are going through. I have good days and bad as a result of this cruel disease. Last June I received a kidney transplant in the nick of time, which compounds my lupus. I stay active and eat healthy to enjoy what I hope is a long prosperous life. But living with kidney disease (ESRD) combined with lupus is challenging some days. Just remember that people love and depend on you. Follow your doctors’ treatment plan closely and remaining positive throughout life is essential to surviving this disease. I hope one day a cure will come to help those living with lupus.
