Support Groups

A support group is a self-help group, composed of people with lupus along with their family members and friends who gather periodically to share common concerns. People are willing to talk freely and to trust openly in the good will of the other group members.

The SLESH program has been invaluable! I had been carrying around the diagnosis of SLE for a year, not knowing a thing about lupus. This course, with its leaders, book, and helpful peers made this group totally effective and enjoyable. I have been sharing so much of what I learned. Thank you!
