Fundraising Community Events 2019 - Get involved with chapter events in your community, including our annual Walks to End Lupus Now, the signature fundraising event for the LFA. Volunteers are needed to plan and to hold Walks the End Lupus Now in communities in our chapter. Our chapter receives vital support from this event. Be a part of the fun and fellowship during this great event! Walk volunteer registration will open January 14, 2019.

The Texas Gulf Coast Chapter is looking for qualified full or part time college students to intern. Internships are available in a variety of fields (see job descriptions below). These in-office positions are unpaid, but the experience will be invaluable! Academic credit may be available depending on your school's requirements.
Job Descriptions for Internships:
- Public Relations/Communications Intern
- Donor Development Intern
- Walk to End Lupus Now & 5K Run Intern
- Special Events Intern
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite
- Effective communication and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work independently
- Very organized with good attention to detail
- Available for a minimum of 8 weeks, preferably longer. Hours are negotiable, but typically a minimum of at least 2 days and 15 hours a week is required.
