Ask your Representative to ensure access to hydroxychloroquine for people with lupus! | Texas Gulf Coast

This is my chapter   |

As you likely know, two medications commonly used by people with lupus, hydroxychloroquine (Plaquenil) and chloroquine (Aralen), are currently being investigated as potential treatments for the coronavirus (COVID-19).

We have been fighting hard to ensure that no person with lupus loses access to the medications they need, and we’re seeing positive responses from those who impact the drug supply chain. Last week we asked our nationwide network of advocates to contact their members of Congress urging them to address this issue and the response was overwhelming — in less than a week, nearly 40,000 lupus advocates sent over 115,000 emails to their members of Congress, and it is making an impact.

Now, we need your voice again. The Congressional Lupus Caucus has partnered with the Congressional Arthritis Caucus on a letter to the White House Coronavirus Task Force urging them to address this issue and ensure access to these drugs for people with lupus and rheumatoid arthritis.

Ask your Representative to sign onto the letter!
