A letter from LFA President & CEO, Stevan W. Gibson
As someone who grew up in Southern California, I am very excited to share the news that we have expanded our presence here with the opening of our newest region and the hiring of Regional Director Matt Scelza. Together with Walk to End Lupus Now Manager Nicole Padilla, we now have two very dynamic, hardworking staff located right here in Southern California. Matt ([email protected]) and Nicole ([email protected]) will be great partners for all of us as we work to most effectively serve all individuals and families affected by lupus.
Our Southern California team will build upon the great work already being done in the market, including providing important support services and engagement opportunities, and sharing our comprehensive research program which is driving new medical advances to deliver the most significant impact on peoples’ lives in the shortest time possible.
In the meantime, we are excited to share our newly launched website! This new site will support people with lupus at every stage of their journey, as well as family members, friends, caregivers, healthcare professionals, lupus researchers and policymakers. Visit the website and follow us on Facebook to get the latest information both locally and nationally including events, programs, breaking research news, support services and advocacy programs.
