Funded Research Projects and Awards

The Foundation’s research program was the first privately supported national research program for lupus. Since its inception, the Foundation and its national network have provided millions of dollars to support lupus research at the nation’s leading medical institutions. Funded studies and initiatives have focused on areas of lupus research that were deemed critically important to the field, yet had remained underfunded or overlooked, such as cardiovascular disease, pediatric lupus and male lupus.
