Time to Plan Your Walk Day!
Dear PNW Walkers,
This is a great time to plan your walk day activities. We are a week away from Virtual Walk to End Lupus Now® on Saturday, October 16th! We’ve put together a few tips and resources to help you rally your team.
Plan Your Route: You can participate from anywhere! Pick your own route distance, location, and finish area. Some suggestions are a local park, your neighborhood, along the beach, or a hiking trail. Then wrap up your walk with a lunch with friends and family or a zoom call with supporters.
Virtual Walk Platform: Join us online on Saturday, October 16th as we unite as one lupus community for a great virtual event. To take part, download the Walk to End Lupus Now 10.16.21 application via Google Play or Apple App Store. Access to all of the application's link will open at 9AM PST on October 16th - here is where you can engage with sponsors, with walkers across the nation, and learn more about how your support impacts the mission of the Lupus Foundation of America.
When to Walk: We suggest you walk just following the Virtual Walk to End Lupus Now opening ceremony, taking place at 10AM PST; however, you can walk any time of day or any day that week - it's on your time.
Walk Tool: Download, print, and fill out the Why I Walk sign. Walk with your sign and take photos with your sign to share why this cause means so much to you. Show us your spirit by wearing your purple and posting photos to social media using hashtag #WalkToEndLupusNow.
Fundraising Tip – Raise $100 in order to receive the event t-shirt and you'll receive your shirt after October 16th.
Take action and get registered today! By walking on 10.16.21 you are raising awareness and funds for lupus programs.
