Shopping in Style for LFA
Supporters and shoppers mixed and mingled at rag & bone’s “Shop For a Cause” this week to raise awareness and donations for the Lupus Foundation of America. Hosted on Wednesday, November 15th at their Mercer Street location in Soho, this lively and engaging event included a DJ, taco bar, beverages and a 15% discount to shoppers. In addition, rag & bone will generously donate 15% of the evening’s sales to the Lupus Foundation of America.
Philanthropy and community engagement is a core value for rag & bone as Marcus Wainwright, rag & bone CEO, Founder & Creative Director shared, "It really is an honor and pleasure that rag & bone is able to support the Lupus Foundation together with Victoria Gibbs. Each time we connect with a community of people that are committed to making a difference, it is quite incredible to see the passion and drive to really move the needle. We are grateful for Victoria’s support of the brand and for highlighting such a worthwhile cause”.
Victoria, who shared her journey on the National Resource Center on Lupus, was the inspiration for the evening and instrumental in building the partnership between the Lupus Foundation of America and rag & bone. Victoria shared, “Cohosting the Rag and Bone event in support of The Lupus Foundation of America was a huge honor and an extremely rewarding opportunity having been at the center of such a great partnership. I was truly grateful for all of the hard work that everyone put forth. The event was a great success filled with light, love, and positivity. I can’t thank the Rag & Bone team enough, especially Marcus, for being a brand that truly stands for something unique and meaningful. After having been diagnosed with lupus over a year ago, I have become very passionate about giving back to the Lupus community. I am truly fulfilled by sharing my story and giving hope to those diagnosed with the disease, for me, it was a new beginning.”
\Also in attendance were LFANE Community Ambassadors Jaime Phinizy, Jennifer Kushner, Karen Miller and Mike Dillane. They mixed and mingled with the guests sharing important information about lupus and the work of the Lupus Foundation of America. A big thank you to Victoria, Caralyn Gorel of rag & bone, the store's staff, our NELFA Community Ambassadors and everyone who came out to attend the “Shop for a Cause” event.
