Livestream Empowerment Educational Series

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our first ever Livestream Empowerment Educational Series. Livestreams of the presentations can be accessed by our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/lupusnc). Make sure you "like" the page to get notifications. Individuals interested in viewing are encouraged to register. If you DO NOT have a Facebook account, unfortunately you will not be able to view the livestream LIVE, however, please still register, as we'll send a separate link for those without Facebook to view the presentation after it has taken place!

August 2017

Mindfulness Practices & Lupus
Thursday, August 24, 2017
6:30pm to 7:30pm

Pain is a persistent part of daily life for many people living with lupus—more than 90% suffer from joint or muscle pain over the course of their illness. Physicians can recommend an arsenal of prescription and over-the-counter medications. But when the pain just won’t leave your body, you can also turn inward. Mindfulness practices have been shown to reduce stress, decrease fatigue, and improve a sense of wellbeing in many settings. Join us for this session to learn more about mindfulness and see demonstrated practices to incorporate into your everyday life.
