While this may not be a typical Lupus Awareness Month, it’s more important than ever that we make lupus visible by educating the public about this devastating disease and raise funds for support programs! Like every other small business and non-profit, we are struggling and need your help more than ever. This year a portion of funds raised during Lupus Awareness Month will go towards our new PATH (Patient Access To Healthcare) program. Our goal is $5000 so if you're making a donation, please ensure you're making it to our local Indiana Chapter by selecting the Donate Locally button at the top of any of our site pages or you can donate now!
There is still so much you can do to increase awareness and show your support — even from your home!
Here are a few ideas to get you started:
GET SOCIAL AND RAISE AWARENESS
Social media is a great way to tell your story and show what you’re doing to raise lupus awareness. We have fliers and social media tools all to help you get inspired and raise awareness during May.
Celebrate Put on Purple day on May 15th by wearing purple, tell others why and let them know where to donate to help bring an end to lupus.
GO VIRTUAL TO END LUPUS
We know coronavirus is keeping us from our usual activities, but there are still plenty of ways to have fun while raising money to end lupus. This includes everything from virtual happy hours to creating a Facebook fundraising campaign and so much more!
You will find all of this and much more on our Lupus Awareness Month webpage. Be part of our effort this May with lupus warriors, friends, family members, and caregivers to make lupus visible!
