Paint for a Purpose
Our Chapter is happy to be partnering with the Indiana Minority Health Coalition; Lupus Education and Awareness Program (LEAP); and the Office of Minority Health and Office of Women’s Health, Indiana State Department of Health to offer a fun and interactive painting activity and lupus educational presentation for people with lupus and their family members/caregivers. The Lupus 101 presentation is targeted for people recently diagnosed with lupus; however, all people with lupus are welcome.
This event will begin with a 30-minute social gathering with snacks for people with lupus and family members/caregivers to get to know each other, LFA, Indiana Chapter staff and board members, representatives from Indiana Minority Health Coalition, Lupus Education and Awareness Program, Office of Minority Health and Office of Women’s Health, Indiana State Department of Health, and other partners.
From 1:30 to 3:00 there will be an instructor-led, fun canvas painting activity. At the end of the event, participants will vote on their favorite painting and a photo of that canvas will be used on our 2018 Chapter Christmas card. Attendees’ artwork will be posted on our Chapter's social media channels. Here's what we'll be painting:
