Virtual Summer Jam Youth Retreat
Saturday, June 13, 2020
9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Who can attend
This camp is for girls ages 12-19 with lupus. Due to the limitations of the online format, this year camp will be for girls with lupus only. If you have a camper with a sibling at home that would like to join in with your camper for some of the activities, that is great.
How does it work?
Since this camp will be online, a good internet connection and digital device will be vital. Campers will also need to download apps. After registering, campers will be placed into their virtual cabin by age group and will receive more information and a mailed package. Our camp counselors (most of whom have lupus) will lead some of the camp activities. We will have cabin time to get to know each other and opportunities to ask questions and share information.
What activities are included?
Activities include a scavenger hunt, games, yoga, and more. You will also learn more about lupus from a medical provider and ways you can manage the disease and small group sessions with a licensed clinical social worker. The best part is that you will meet new friends who share your health challenges.
We will also mail campers a package with materials they will need for camp and fun independent projects.
Deadline to Register is Friday, June 5, 2020. SPACE IS LIMITED SO REGISTER SOON!
