My name is Natasha Miller and I am a mother of 4 beautiful children, a wife, and  a friend.

I began my journey with lupus in 2015. I, like most women, stayed very busy balancing work and home and started to feel weird in my 4th pregnancy. By weird I mean I was having memory problems, fatigue and overall feelings of being tired. I decided to listen to my body when more symptoms including joint pain started to happen after the baby was born.

After 2 doctor visits and various test I received a call on Friday November 15, 2015 from my doctor confirming that I had lupus. I was relieved to finally have answers to what was causing all my symptoms. I immediately owned that I have lupus, lupus does not have me.

I started searching the internet to find out more about lupus and in doing so discovered The Lupus Foundation of Georgia! This organization has been truly amazing during my journey by answering numerous phone calls, emails and providing a warm environment at the office.

I chose to do my first Walk to End Lupus Now in April of 2016. I walked for my now 13 year old daughter and myself. This was an amazing experience to see so many people come together in support of one another and to help solve the mystery behind the disease. I have made a vow to continue to fight through this disease as this is only the beginning. My daughter and I will win. #TEAMNOFLAREZONE
