Why I Walk: Fabrice Stuart
When I was six years old I lost my mother. Her name name was Linda and she died from lupus. About two years before I was born my mother was diagnosed with Lupus. The doctors told her she couldn't have anymore children but a year later she got pregnant with me. After losing my mother at a young age I always felt like a part of me was missing.
In 2011 I attended my first walk. When I was born I was born with a hole in my heart. Last year I found out because of my mothers lupus I had a hole in my heart and had to get a pacemaker. I was mad at both God and my mother because she took the risk of having more children. I'm glad that I'm alive and I walk for the woman that bought me into this world. Now this year my sister and I are hosting our first Lupus walk in Bimini Bahanas in memory of our mother.
