The following international Lupus organizations will mark World Lupus Day with the following events:

Australia

Lupus Australia Foundation

The organization will host a gala concert featuring three soloists and will raise money to support the employment of Lupus patients in doctors' offices to offer support to newly diagnosed patients and their families.

Lupus Association of New South Wales, Inc.

The organization is assisting the Lupus Australia Foundation in hosting the gala concert featuring Australian singers Elizabeth Connell, Judith Firestone and Rhonda Hall. The concert is also sponsored by the following Australian Lupus organizations: The Lupus Association of Tasmania, The Lupus Group of Western Australia , and Lupus Australia , Queensland .

The Lupus Association of New South Wales , Inc ., will also, through its 38 coordinators throughout the state of New South Wales, hold lunches in an effort to raise awareness about Lupus. 

The Scleroderma/Lupus Support Group-Newcastle Group, New South Wales , Australia

The group will hold a social function for its members and it will also work with other groups in the state of New South Wales on an event to mark the day.

Botswana

A student at the University of Botswana who has Lupus will hold a mini-health fair for her fellow students on World Lupus Day.

Canada

Lupus Canada

The organization is working with its partners to have the World Lupus Day 2004 Proclamation signed by Provincial Health Ministers in all Canadian provinces and it is working through Health Canada to have the proclamation signed by either the Health Minister or the Canadian Prime Minster. The group is also using brochures to spread the world about World Lupus Day.

Lupus Canada ( Ontario chapter)

A member of the Provincial Parliament of Ontario will read the World Lupus Day Proclamation for the group's members and guests in Queens 's Park.

Germany

Lupus Erythematodes Selbsthilfegemeinschaft e. V., Berlin , Germany

Nearly 70 groups throughout Germany will be holding receptions to mark World Lupus Day.

Indonesia

Yayassan Lupus Indonesia

The group will hold a press conference in conjunction with the National Ministry of Health in an effort to increase Lupus awareness.

Spain

Federacion Espanola De Lupus , Madrid

The organization will help host the country's second National Congress on Lupus. The event will include sessions and discussions about different aspects of Lupus and is aimed at physicians, as well as Lupus patients, caretakers and the general public.

United Kingdom

Manx Lupus Support Group, Isle of Man

The organization will sponsor coffee mornings and bric-a-brac sales on Saturdays throughout the month of May to raise money for Lupus research.

Lupus United Kingdom

Lupus UK will mark World Lupus Day in a number of ways including the display of 20,000 posters throughout the country and a week-long display about Lupus and World Lupus Day in Parliament buildings.
