Walk to End Lupus Now

 

The Lupus Foundation of America, Wisconsin Chapter’s 12th annual walk event takes on a new name in 2013!  Walk to End Lupus Now will be held Saturday, June 8, 2013.  The one-mile or three-mile walk will begin on the beautiful Mount Mary Campus in Wauwatosa, WI and continue through the Menomonee River Parkway.  Registration will begin at 8:30 am and the walk begins at 10:00 am (1 hour earlier than previous years).  The event will also include lunch and entertainment by the band "Close Enuf".

Advanced registration is $20 per person; $10 per child (12 & under).

Day of registration is $25.00 per person; $12 per child.

Participants can create their own fundraising web page. Simply logon to https://www.firstgiving.com/lupuswi and you can build your own personal online fundraising page for LFAWI's Walk to End Lupus Now.  This is a simple and exciting way for you to reach out to your network of supporters and invite them to help us carry out our mission.

Ask your company to sponsor a team and volunteer to be a team leader or ask your spouse, family members and friends to recruit a company team!  Place information about Walk to End Lupus Now in your company newsletter.  Double your dollars by checking to see if your company offers a company match donation program.  If you know of a company that would be interested in sponsoring our walk, please call 414-443-6400.  See more ideas in the Participants Guide.

If you can not make it to our location, we invite you to "Walk from a Distance" or form a "Virtual Team".  You can participate from any location.  If you want to build a team, just call 414-443-6400 for a team packet.  Walk around your neighborhood or plan a walk party in a nearby park with a group of friends, co-workers and your family.  "Walk from a Distance" and "Virtual" teams are eligible for incentives and prizes.  It's easy, just register online, then go to firstgiving at https://www.firstgiving.com/lupuswi to set up your fundraising page.  Take up the cause and walk with us!
