The Office on Women’s Health (OWH) is writing to request the Lupus Foundation of America’s assistance in promoting health equity for women and girls. Our organizations are like-minded in our fight against lupus. That is why we believe that by providing a link to our lupus campaign, couldIhavelupus.gov, on your website will allow continuous improvement in the health and sense of well-being across the U.S.
The campaign is designed to heighten awareness and create a sense of urgency about lupus. This campaign is also designed to increase awareness and understanding amongst family, friends, and employers of those suffering.
The focus is helping these individuals better understand the physical, economic, and social effects of lupus. With the help of women who are actually living with lupus, OWH is sending a message to women who are suffering from lupus symptoms — that they can find support, hope and, most of all, answers. They just have to start by asking the right question: "Could I Have Lupus?"
