Prescription Medications

Partnership for Prescription Assistance
The Partnership for Prescription Assistance brings together America's pharmaceutical companies, doctors, other health care providers, patient advocacy organizations and community groups to help qualifying patients who lack prescription coverage get the medicines they need through the public or private program that's right for them. Many will get them free or nearly free.

Together Rx
A FREE prescription-savings card for eligible residents of the United States and Puerto Rico who have no prescription drug coverage.  A public service program created and sponsored by a group of some of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies.

RXAssist - Patient Assistance Center
RxAssist offers a comprehensive database of these patient assistance programs, as well as practical tools, news, and articles so that health care professionals and patients can find the information they need.

RxHope
RxHope is the only patient assistance Internet initiative financially supported by PhRMA (Pharmaceutical and Research Manufacturers of America) and participating pharmaceutical companies.

NeedyMeds.com
NeedyMeds, a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization, is a comprehensive resource for people who need help paying for health care and prescription medication costs. NeedyMeds provides current and accurate information on over 2100 brand name and generic drugs covered by patient-assistance programs with specific guidelines relating to each program. Additionally, NeedyMeds maintains a national listing of free and low cost healthcare clinics, and other organizations that provide financial assistance for a variety of diagnoses and health conditions. Furthermore, links to organizations that provide help in filling out applications for aid, and information about where to obtain discount drug cards as well as coupons for medications are listed. NeedyMeds also offers a free drug discount card that can be printed from its website. This card is available to anyone needing assistance paying for medications.

Wal-Mart Prescriptions
Wal-Mart Pharmacies offer $4 prescriptions for a 30-day supply of 300 generic drugs.  Follow the links to the Pharmacy and the $4 Prescription program for additional information.

With the growing number of assistance programs available to patients in the United States, it is sometimes difficult and confusing to determine which programs can help and who qualifies for them. Access2wellness™ is designed to help.

Abbott Patient Assistance Program
The Abbott Patient Assistance Program (PAP) provides Abbott medications, at no cost, to patients in financial need.

AstraZeneca Patient Assistance Program
Provides information about AstraZeneca's assistance programs.

Bristol-Myers Squibb Patient Assistance Programs
This website provides information about the Bristol-Myers Squibb Patient Assistance Foundation and other programs that provide access to BMS products to eligible individuals. 

Bridge to Access (GlaxoSmithKline) 
GlaxoSmithKline’s patient assistance program for non-oncology medicines, provides GSK prescription medicines to eligible low-income patients without prescription drug benefits.

Genentech Patient Access Programs
Patient assistance support is for those eligible patients in the United States who do not have insurance coverage or who cannot afford their out-of-pocket co-pay costs.

Lilly Cares Patient Assistance Programs
Eli Lilly and Company index of all company programs to assist patients with prescription drug costs.

MerckHelps
Merck & Company provides its medicines and adult vaccines for free or at discounts to people who do not have prescription drug or health insurance coverage and who, without our assistance, cannot afford their Merck medicine and vaccines.

Novartis Patient Assistance Program
Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation's Patient Assistance Program (PAP) provides assistance to patients experiencing financial hardship who have no third party insurance coverage for their medicines.

Ortho-McNeil, Inc. Patient Assistance Program
Ortho-McNeil provides assistance to patients who, because of financial burden and lack of prescription drug coverage, may have difficulty paying for their treatment. Information on this program is available through Access2wellness.com.

Pfizer Helpful Answers
Pfizer Helpful Answers is a family of assistance programs for uninsured and underinsured patients who need help getting their Pfizer Wyeth medicines. 

Roche U.S. Pharmaceuticals Assistance Program
The Roche program is coordinated thorugh Genetech Access Solution Program.  Genetech is part of the Roche family of companies. 

Schering-Plough
Schering-Plough Pharmaceuticals has merged with Merck & Company.  Information on patient assistance programs for medicines developed by Schering-Plough are available through the MerckHelps website linked above.

Wyeth Pharmaceuticals
Wyeth Pharmaceuticals has merged with Pfizer which manages the company's patient assistance program.
