Help LFA Secure Enactment of the Lupus REACH Amendments (H.R. 1192) of 2007

March 28, 2007

The Lupus REACH – Research, Education, Awareness, Communication, and Healthcare – Amendments of 2007 (H.R. 1192), was recently introduced by U.S. Representative Kendrick Meek. This bill will significantly enhance efforts to understand and treat lupus.

The REACH Amendments will increase lupus research, support vital lupus epidemiology studies and data collection, and authorize programs to heighten public and professional awareness of lupus. We need YOU to take immediate action to help this legislation become law. Please go to http://capwiz.com/lfa/ to send a letter to your U.S. Representative urging him/her to co-sponsor the Lupus REACH Amendments of 2007. (If you would like you can modify and personalize the letter.)

Please also encourage your friends, neighbors, family and co-workers to visit our website http://capwiz.com/lfa/ to send a letter to their United States Representative asking him or her to co-sponsor this important lupus legislation. We need as many people as possible to join this campaign to increase federal support for lupus research and awareness. With your help we can get the Lupus REACH Amendments enacted into law.

Do you have friends, family members or coworkers who have an interest in lupus, but don't have access to a computer? If so, download this sample letter (PDF) that they can use it to contact their representatives. Help us spread the word!

Do you want to see if your Representative has co-sponsored this bill?  Visit the Thomas website to see which Representatives are already on board.

Thank You For Your Support!
