International Lupus Congress
![]() |
The International SLE Congress is a triennial meeting in which patients, physicians and researchers come together to share the latest developments in lupus. The last International Lupus Congress was held in June 2010 in Vancouver, Canada. The event's activities included simultaneous 3-day professional and patient education symposia featuring presentations from more than 60 of the world's top lupus research and outreach experts, and a gala Congress dinner.
The International Congress highlights advances in knowledge about the causes and symptoms of lupus as well as new treatments for this disease.
The Lupus Foundation of America, which is co-sponsoring and planning the patient portion of the programming, encourages lupus patient organizations to follow the reports that will come forth from this Congress. In addition, people with lupus were welcomed and encouraged to attend the patient education portion of the program.
