Georgia Lupus Support Group Network
Our Support Network is essential to all the chapter’s efforts, working tirelessly to support patients, our programs and events and advocate for awareness. On any given weekend, you can find our support group members at health fairs across the state, spreading awareness and sharing our resources.
Our facilitators represent an outstanding group of volunteers who understand the issues that challenge individuals with lupus. Our support groups are often times the first valuable resource for both newly diagnosed and those who feel theyare living with this disease without the understanding of friends and family.
We look forward to 2012 and the opportunities to continue to grow our programs and support. We plan to expand our Could You Have Lupus? brochure program, placed in doctors’ offices. With the help of our Support Group Network,we have placed 30,000 brochures across the state. We plan to place an additional 30,000 brochures as we continue to reach and inform newly diagnosed and not yet diagnosed lupus patients.
