Thomas Walters Thomas Walters was the first recipient of the Tomica Gill Courage Award. As a Chapter leader, Southside Support Group Facilitator and an individual living with lupus, Thomas has led by example, sharing his story, spending endless hours raising awareness at health fairs and counseling the newly diagnosed, especially men with lupus. Thomas has provided support to every male with lupus who has contacted the Chapter. Margaret Gill travelled from Detroit to present the award in her daughter's memory. |
Jim McLaughlin Jim McLaughlin, President and CEO of Olympus Media, LLC, was the recipient for his support of the Chapter and mission. Jim and his company provided over 100 LED electronic major highway billboards in Atlanta over the past two years to raise lupus awareness and inform Georgians. Jim has been a major donor to every Gala and has inspired an Olympus employee walk team. |
Night of Hope Gala
An elegant evening creating hope
The 3rd Annual Night of Hope Gala was a fabulous celebration at Atlanta’s largest fine art gallery, Mason Murer. This inspiring evening included silent and live auctions, delicious gourmet food by the wonderful Kameel, music and over 250 attendees.
