We are excited to share this month’s Ask the Experts series, featuring a two part presentation on cardiac issues and lupus. Dr. Jim Oates, associate professor of medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina, Division of Rheumatology and Immunology, will provide a detailed explanation of heart disease, stroke and their relationship to lupus. Monica Richey, Lupus Center nurse practitioner coordinator at the Hospital for Special Surgery will discuss preventive cardiac care and lupus.  Her presentation is focused on concrete steps you can take to prevent heart disease and stroke.
