Supporting Lupus Investigators

A vibrant pool of knowledgeable and well-trained scientists and clinical investigators is important to the future of lupus research. The Lupus Foundation of America supports lupus investigators at all stages of their careers.  We seek to encourage young scientists to pursue a career in lupus research while we also recognize and encourage existing lupus investigators to expand their to solve the cruel mystery of this misunderstood and unpredictable disease.  We offer the following programs to help build and sustain a vibrate talent pool oflupus thought leaders:Lupus Insight Prize

The Lupus Insight Prize is a collaborative funding effort among three lupus organizations.

Evelyn V. Hess, MD MACP MACR Award

A lupus research lifetime achievement award to recognize important contributions to advancing the science and medicine of lupus. 

Mary Betty Stevens, MD, Young Investigator Prize

This award recognizes the exciting and promising work of early stage lupus investigators.

Career Development Award

This award supports rheumatology, nephrology, & dermatology fellows engaged in lupus research.

Gina M. Finzi Memorial Student Summer Fellowship Program

This program provides funding to support student lupus research projects for one summer.
