CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Sept. 3, 2013 – The 13th Annual Links for Lupus Golf Tournament swings a new tournament record raising more than $45,000 to benefit the Lupus Foundation of America, North Carolina Chapter (LFANC). To date, the tournament has brought in $418,000 since the event’s inception.

Presented by LITTLE Diversified Architectural Consulting and the Humana Foundation, the Links for Lupus Golf Tournament took place at Cedarwood Country Club in South Charlotte. The sold-out event included 120 golfers, lunch by ChefStreet Bistro, dinner by Dilworth Neighborhood Grille and raffle prizes. More information is available at

“Between the beautiful weather and the amazing group of golfers, we had an extraordinary day and tournament, ” said Christine John-Fuller, President and CEO of LFANC. “Many thanks to Cedarwood Country Club for hosting us and to our sponsors, players and volunteers who helped make this event a huge success. This tournament has been instrumental in helping raise funds to support research, programs and support services for the estimated 45,000 people living with lupus throughout North Carolina.”

Added Fuller, “This year's tournament was especially poignant due to the recent passing of the tournament founder, William ‘Bill’ Little.” The inaugural Links for Lupus Golf Tournament commenced in September of 2000, on a green in Charlotte, N.C. Founded by the Family of Bill & Earlene Little, Links for Lupus, has been helping to raise money for LFANC because lupus has touched their family personally with the diagnosis of two family members.
